James P. Bloch, Ph.D Partner Emeritus
Dr. Bloch (University of Louisville, 1974), a cofounder of this practice in 1989 has been engaged in the practice of clinical psychology for over 40 years, in Louisville since 1980. He has served on the faculty of Spalding University (Louisville, Kentucky), teaching and supervising doctoral students. Dr. Bloch was a cofounder of the Jefferson County (Kentucky) internship consortium, and has supervised and trained psychology graduate students, interns, practicing psychologist, and other mental health practitioners throughout his career. In 2010 the Kentucky Psychological Association recognized Dr. Bloch with its Distinguished Career in Psychology Award.
Dr. Bloch is an experienced psychotherapist, offering psychological treatment to an adult clientele presenting varied problems, with particular specialization in treating survivors of childhood trauma, abuse and neglect. He has extensive experience with EMDR and clinical hypnosis as psychotherapy tools.
Dr. Bloch is a licensed psychologist health services provider in Kentucky, and is a registrant of the National Register of Health Services Providers in Psychology. He is a member of the Kentucky Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and the International Society of Trauma and Dissociation.
